Here are all the mechanics that are either essential to the lore of this setting and/or for the new system that is being produced here.
(Creator note: I had to comb through a lot of material to match the scope of the project, so while I will try to cite as many sources or inspirations as possible, some will fall through the cracks.)

(while most of the mechanics here are somewhat experimental this section in particular is noted for being such because this kind of gameplay hasn't been properly attempted on this scale and as such will require much feedback and experimentation.)
